March 29, 2012
Juan “Pico” Monaco continues to show a high level in the U.S., where he won again in the 1000 Miami Masters. He beat Mardy Fish (8) 6-1 6-3.
The Argentine number 21 in the ATP ranking was again a solid game to be imposed on the local player.
Monaco, who turns 28 today, got a neat game and, at times, brilliant for the win in 1 hour and 22 minutes. It is the third Argentine in history to exceed the quarter-finals.
Now, face the winner of the key between the Serbian Novak Djokovic (1) and Spanish David Ferrer (5).
