Guerrillas of Chile claimed the political responsibility of the crime of the officer Aigo

Chile, March 25, 2012

Through an Internet statement, two groups suspected of being guerrillas in Chile, claimed “the political responsibility for the death of Mapuche police” but added “in a context that we regret.”

Those are the Manuel Rodriguez Patriotic Front (FPMR) and the Revolutionary Left Movement (MIR)

The crime of José Aigo was perpetrated in Neuquen on March 7 in the Pilolil under circumstances that remain unclear in the research.

Today, both groups said that the political responsibility for the death of Aigo is theirs. The Documentation Centre of Armed Movements (Cedema) identified the fugitives Juan Carlos, alias “El Chino” and Alexis Torres Cortez as perpetrators of crime and members of those groups.

However, the groups felt that the pursuit of fugitive militants is “a manhunt, coward for their disproportionate force and military means.”
