American actor George Clooney was arrested in a protest that took place outside the embassy of Sudan.
Clooney was out of place in handcuffs and taken to a police van, along with other activists.
The actor was protesting for the war crimes committed in southern Sudan.
Clooney was arrested for trespassing at the embassy, an act of “civil disobedience mild,” the Washington Post said. Martin Luther King III was with him.
The protagonist of The Descendants is leading a strong campaign for war refugees in southern Sudan.
In fact, the actor met with President Barack Obama to ask him to speak with Chinese President Hu Jintao, who can assert his influence over the region, so Sudan allows the access of international humanitarian organizations.
