Security Minister Nilda Garre described the various blockades carried out simultaneously at the entrances to the Buenos Aires City as “extortion and wild.”
She said that these demonstrations are outside the scope of the protest and that they already have a character to citizens for ransom.
“This is excessive, we must speak out and say the names of who are the references that are hidden behind an illegitimate claim and use illegitimate methods,” Garre assured.
“We are not against the protest but against extortion itself,” the minister said and added “we’re never going to criminalize social protest.”
On the way to unlock these conflicts, Garre said “security forces will be enlisted to solve them” and recalled that “they have to respect all rights, not just one sector.”
