Member of Mothers of Plaza de Mayo was beaten by criminals

Argentina, March 13, 2012

Nora Centeno, a member of the group Human Rights Mothers of Plaza de Mayo, was attacked in her home by a group of criminals, after stealing her money and personal items.

The incident occurred in Villa Castels, where two offenders jumped a fence and attacked Nora.

“I looked outside from a window and felt something around us. I thought it was one of the guys who made me a joke and I said, ‘Stop fooling around.” Then I felt a blow in my head” said the victim.

“They used the barbecue and they beat me a lot. This happened on Saturday afternoon and just today I looked in the mirror … When I saw this I thought it had to be known by all people,” said Centeno.
