Mónaco lost against Isner and leaves the ATP 1000 of Indian Wells

United States, Marh 12, 2012

The hopes for Monaco in the 1000 Indian Wells ATP were diluted in the third round against the local Isner, who won after a 7-5, 7-5. Now there are only two Argentines in the tournament, Nalbandian and Del Potro.

Monaco could never beat Isner, world number 11. While the local gave the Argentine a few chances of breaking, Juan could never achieve it and gave away his game.

With this defeat, Monaco joins Juan Ignacio Chela, Carlos Berlocq and Leonardo Mayer that had already been eliminated.

The two remaining are Nalbandian, who faces the Croatian Janko Tipsarevic and Del Potro, playing against the Spanish Verdasco.
