Teachers agreed to claim for a salary of 3000 pesos

Argentina, March 3, 2012

The meeting between representatives of teacher unions agreed to claim for a salary of $ 3000. The offer of yesterday of $ 2850 was rejected.

Roberto Baradel, owner of SUTEBA, questioned whether “the government can not give a salary of 3000, when the increase is only 29% of a salary of 2340 dollars, not 10,000 or 15,000 pesos”.

“We are proposing for a single day, 3,000 pesos and 6,000 for full-time teachers” he said.

For his part, Miguel Diaz, head of the union UDOCBA warned that “the conflict will continue” in the province of Buenos Aires” because there is “no serious offer” by the cabinet of Governor Daniel Scioli.
