The boy that stole his mother’s car and caused a tragedy remains under house arrest
Argentina, March 2, 2012
The grandmother of the boy of 15 years old who took his mother’s car without permission and caused a tragedy that killed two people, denied the rumors that his grandson was in freedom. “He is under house arrest at the home of a relative in Berazategui” she argued to Radio 10.
The incident occurred in early February, when Juan Manuel took his mother’s car without permission and killed two people after crashing into a bus and a van.
Juan Manuel’s mother was traveling through Brazil and that is why the young teenager of 15 years was in the custody of his grandmother Alicia.
Alicia, the grandmother, said “he is under house arrest at the home of a relative in Berazategui”.
“He was ordered not to go to school to take tests and he comes and goes with his mother. He can’t do anything without the judge’s permission” adding “he is not with his mother, we visit that house regularly, but he is not in freedom”.
“We are very bad, we will not ever come out of this” she concluded.
