Schiavi about the Once accident: “There may be dead”

Transportation Secretary gave a short press conference about the Once accident, where a train hit leaving at least 400 wounded and said “the situation is very serious due to the accident where people are very nervous.”
He added, “A train entered at the Once station, going 26 kilometers per hour on top of the platform. We assume that there was some fault in the brakes. The train strikes at 20 kilometers per hour against the bumper. A train would fold over another, there is a train which took almost 6 meters of the first one,” said the official as M24Digital collected.
“I want to thank first and always the SAME, people who worked in an impressive manner,” he said
“There are 340 multiple traumas, injuries, which are derived to all hospitals in the city of Buenos Aires. In trauma there are patients with cases that are more complex, as multiple trauma of the chest,” Schiavi said.
“In the place where they are working now, which is between the first and second formation, there are people trapped, some people are alive, and there may be victims.”
“We don’t have the number but may have victims, when I speak of the dead victims; they are not confirmed by police, is not confirmed by the SAME. But at the moment rescue staff is in the work of removal.”
“Obviously there is any research that starts from this event. It’s all filmed, all registered, which facilitates the investigation.”
