Del Potro could not beat Federer

Juan Martin Del Potro was defeated in the Rotterdam final by Roger Federer in a match that lasted one hour and 26 minutes and whose score was 6-1, 6-4.

Despite Argentine player’s confidence after widely beating Slovakian Karol Beck, the Serbian Viktor Troicki and Czech Tomas Berdych, Federer was able to build a solid game from the beginning and that led to victory.

The first set showed the Swiss in a huge level, overcoming two break points to Del Potro in the first game. Federer had no attenuating and took the set 6-1.

The second set was a little close, while the Argentine found holes through which to reach 6-4, but the Federer hierarchy was not side and so was crowned the new champion of Rotterdam.
