Teachers of Buenos Aires will negotiate on Monday

February 28, 2012

Buenos Aires Education Minister, Esteban Bullrich, invited the representatives of teacher unions to discuss the salary increase for 2012 on Monday.

In the meeting, scheduled for 11 am, teachers claim a minimum of 3,100 pesos for a master degree without age and an increase of 29% for other categories.

Bullrich had decided to wait for the national peer to discuss the increases to materialize, but given that they were postponed for Wednesday and at the request of teachers, he decided to hold the meeting on Monday.

“Last year we met on a Saturday and if I have to meet Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, I will do. My goal is that classes begin on February28, “he said.
