Joint negotiations: SMATA would accept a percentage lower than the inflation

The Secretary General of the Mechanics Union of Road Transport and Allied Workers (SMATA) said he would accept a lower wage increases to inflation by private consultants.

“The issue we of salaries will be discussed in March,” said Ricardo Pignanelli on the radio, adding that “we must see what will happen” with the economy.

However, the holder of SMATA said that “if you give me 18 percent increase from April 1 until the end of the year, I will sign it.”

Thus, the union would be the first to accept a wage increase at a lower level of inflation that measure private consultants (of almost 23%).
