Mariotto: “We are spectators of a flurry of statements from the CGT”
February 1, 2012
The vice governor of Buenos Aires, Gabriel Mariotto, denied that the Front for Victory meddled in the internals of the General Labour Confederation (CGT) and seek to divide.
Yesterday, Pablo Moyano accused “some officials” of the national government of trying to divide the CGT (see related story).
“We are only spectators of a flurry of statements that generate the leaders of the CGT. In no way we intended or have as a vocation, nor the ability, to intercede to divide, quite the contrary, we want to join, but we can’t do anything,” Senate President said.
He also said that “I do not agree with the partner Moyano, whom I respect along with his dad and the whole labor movement, which is going through a time of debate, discussion, of tension.”
“Perhaps, because lately we have had an institutional activity with co-UOCRA (construction) or UOM (metal) that’s supposed to give an opinion. But I think it’s a loose interpretation, I also have regular meetings in July Piumato (who is close to Moyano)”, Mariotto concluded.
