Ezeiza: Workers will block the access to the airport due to union protests
Argentina, February 1, 2012
Today, workers in the areas of safety and cleanliness of the Ezeiza International Airport said they will cut off their services and access to the terminal from 8:30 to 10 am and 5 to 7 pm.
“They do not let us have a genuine trade union representation, we are compulsively affiliated to unions that are accomplices of those who exploit us” they said in a statement released by the workers and the agency DyN.
They also expressed that much of the health facilities of the airport are closed due to lack of maintenance. 900 employees will be those that interrupt the access to the airport.
Carlos Lucente, representative and spokesman of the workers, told DyN that they had organized to carry out the protest, saying they will not do “nothing illegal”.
