The Earth image with higher resolution today
January 27, 2012
NASA managed to take over Suomi NPP satellite, the image of the Earth with more resolution until today.
This is a photograph of 8,000 pixels by 8,000 pixels, called “Blue Marble”, in honor of the famous image with the same name in 1972, when Apollo 17 got it from space.
NASA take this picture every year, but the particularity of this new is the high resolution as for example last year it was only slightly more than 2,000 pixels.
The satellite instruments allow the collection of these great images, as one of its missions is to monitor with better eyes the changes that occur on Earth from space.
