The son of the late Rio Negro governor Carlos Soria made statements to the press about the moment he lived when his father died.
“I saw my father goes from my hands,” Martin Soria said and added that “the only ones who were present at the time of the event were my father, my mother, my sister and her boyfriend, who were the first to see what had happened.”
“I was not present at the time of shooting. I arrived later, along with the ambulance. The picture I saw did not wish it on anyone. It’s indescribable,” he said.
“It was heartbreaking to see the face of my mother. It’s a tragic time for my family,” he explained.
“She spoke with the psychiatrist, but not with me. I have neither sought. I do not think it good to her or me as a son,” the young man said.
