Buenos Aires, December 24, 2011
Mauricio Macri government plans to build a new Metrobus in 9 de Julio Avenue to connect Retiro and Constitucion.
The initiative adds to the already built on Juan B. Justo Avenue linking Liniers with Palermo and according to official studies it reduced by 40% travel time of the bus between these two points.
After Metrobus on 9 de Julio Avenue, others that could be constructed are Parque Patricios-Barracas and Villa Soldati-Lugano. The tour would begin in Amancio Alcorta, continued by Perito Moreno and completed at Dellepiane Highway.
In addition, Macri administration is already conducting related studies on Independencia Avenue, Paseo Colón, Libertador and Cabildo.
The aim is to create a network of roads for the buses, in order to create an alternative to the subway, reducing the number of cars in the city.
