Cruel images show polar bear eating a puppy in Canada
December 9, 2011
A group of tourists were horrified when they found the macabre spectacle of a polar bear eating a puppy in northern Canada.
The adult male bear had separated the baby from his mother and killed him in the Management Area Wildlife Churchill in northern Manitoba near Hudson Bay.
The witnesses were trembling and weeping after the incident.
According to scientists, “eight cases of adult male polar bears eating cubs were reported this year in Churchill, four in Manitoba Conservation and the other four to Environment Canada”.
A theory of cannibalism is that climate change is melting the Arctic ice and the polar bears are trying to survive become cannibals.
