Panic in Germany by a bomb from the Second World War (see images)

Some 45 000 people were evacuated by a 1.8 tons bomb from the Second World War that fell in Germany 65 years ago.

Experts defused successfully without detonate the explosive on the Rhine, after thousands of people were evacuated from their homes, hospitals and even a prison.

The British air bomb is one of the largest ever found in the country.

In the city of Koblenz patients were transported out of hospitals on stretchers and other in wheelchair.

The shopping streets in the center of the city were sealed and even a prison was emptied.

The bomb was discovered due to falling water levels after a drought in the month of November.
