Burdisso underwent a surgery and will have to do six months of rehabilitation

Nicolas Burdisso, the Argentine national team defender, underwent a surgery on Sunday of the injury he suffered in his left knee last Tuesday playing against Colombia in the fourth game of the qualifiers for Brazil 2014. 

The operation ended smoothly on Villa Margherita Clinic and lasted approximately two hours. Those in charge of it were the Dr. Giuliano Cerulli, Michele Gemignani and the doctor Daniel Martinez, who is in charge of the medical staff of the National Team.

The intervention involved the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament that was broken, along with the suturing of the meniscus and the reduction of tibial plateau fracture. The player of the Roma will have to do a minimum of six months of rehabilitation.
