Greece: New massive demonstration against the adjustment
November 17, 2011
Apparently, the change of government in Greece did not serve to appease the people, who mobilized massively against the fiscal adjustment measures.
Greek media talk about 40,000 people, while police estimates were 27,000. The truth is that a crowd protested outside parliament against the government of Lucas Papademos.
The demonstration was in memory of the historic march of students against the group of colonels on November 17, 1973, but has added slogans of the present.
Since last year, the protest turned into a protest against austerity policies that the government applies since the crisis erupted in 2008.
