Mariano Ferreyra: Justice confirms indictment of six federal policemen

The Criminal Appeals upheld the ruling of Wilma Lopez, who prosecuted six federal police officers accused of “freeing the area” where Mariano Ferreyra was killed on October 20 last year.

Without detention, the officers were prosecuted for “neglect of person,” a crime punishable by up to 15 years in prison, for not to coming between the attackers and the attacked.

The policemen indicted are operating chief, Hugo Lompizano Commissioner, his assistants in the operating room, the deputy chief Rolando Garay and Gaston Conti.

Also confirmed the processing of commissioners suspected of Line Control Department, Luis Echeverria and Jorge Ferreira.
