Aerolineas Argentinas blamed unions for delays
November 12, 2011
In a statement, the authorities of Aerolineas Argentinas and Austral accused union leaders of not respecting the mandatory conciliation and causing delays and cancellations.
“Aerolineas Argentinas and Austral reports that delays and cancellations that are occurring on flights scheduled for today, are due exclusively to undercover crackdown by air traffic controllers and aviation technicians, despite the reconciliation prepared yesterday by the Ministry of Labor, “they said.
The authorities explained that workers who are at strike, controllers and technicians, “respond to the union leadership led by the head of the Aeronautical Technical Staff Association (APTA), Ricardo Cirielli.”
“Ricardo Cirielli-APTA-holder ignores the mandatory conciliation and this causes delays continue in metropolitan and Ezeiza airport,” they added.
