Binner proposed to freeze prices and wages for three years to “break this inflationary process”

The governor of Santa Fe, Hermes Binner, proposed to maintain, through an agreement, wages and prices fixed for three years to combat inflation.

Former presidential candidate of the Broad Progressive Front said: “We believe that with three years of wage and price agreement we can begin to curb this inflationary process.”

He noted that the measure to cut subsidies to wealthy classes “is a good thing” and asked for them to be left to the most vulnerable sectors.

But he warned that such an action “is like giving an aspirin to those who have fever,” adding that “if we do not seek the causes, we will not achieve a balance and this has to do with inflation because it puts pressure on weaker and those with fixed incomes.”
