New requirement for dollars purchase

AFIP determined that from now on foreign exchange transactions should be consulted and recorded through the agency’s website. Its authorities explained that it optimizes the oversight actions and control of tax liabilities. It also serves to combat money laundering.
The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP), by General Resolution 3210 issued today in the Official Gazette the establishment for Foreign Exchange Consultation.
For tax purposes entities authorized to trade in foreign exchange by the Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA) shall consult and search through the computer system set forth in this resolution, the amount in pesos of the total of each of the foreign exchange at the time that it takes place.
Sales of foreign currency, currency or bank notes, in all its forms made by authorized entities, whatever their purpose or destination is, are achieved with this system of consultation and registration.
