Boudou said that the AFIP will tigher controls in the exchange market
Argentina, October 29, 2011
The Minister of Economy and elected vice president, Amado Boudou, said that the AFIP will tighter controls since Monday. Yesterday, the BCRA sacrificed another 140 million dollars to control the dollar.
The Government last night announced another cluster of measures to adjust the controls on people and companies who come to the foreign exchange market to dollarize their savings.
The Minister also said that “the AFIP should endorse the purchase of dollars because there had been detected so far more than a hundred CUIL and CUIT whose income does not match with the dollars they want to buy”.
And he clarified that “the measure does not change the amounts established for the purchase, but aims to ensure that the company or person has the funds to purchase them”.
“What we want is that all transactions are channeled through the formal market” said the vice president-elect in contact with the press at the Ministry of Economy.
The resolutions of the Economy Ministry will be published on Monday in the Official Gazette and were already advanced to the Central Bank authorities, who held long meetings last night.
After paying a high price, the dollar was maintained at 4.26. They had already accumulated a loss of 740 million over the week.
