President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner was reelected according to exit poll data for more than 55% of the votes, and second, Progressive Broad Front candidate Hermes Binner, with a low 14%.

Thus, Cristina achieved a better performance than the primaries and also the gap between the first and second candidate is the most important since decades, surpassing the difference between Perón – Balbin in 1973.

Also, if these figures are ratified to official data, Cristina would exceed the election conducted by Raúl Alfonsín in 1983.

According to Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo, official results begin to be released at 21 hours through www.elecciones2011.gov.ar website.
