September 26, 2011

“If  islanders want to remain British we will support their position,”  Great Britain rejected the dialogue offered by Argentina. Despite expressing support for the Argentine request, on behalf of the United Nations and the foreign ministers of the Group of 77 plus China, Britain continues to refuse to negotiate.
A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry announced the British position: “Our position on the Falklands is known. We have no doubts about our sovereignty over the islands. The premise is based on self-determination for the islanders and that” while wishing to remain British will support their position. “The Group of 77 plus China had claimed yesterday that the UK complies with the requests of the international community and sit down and negotiate with the Argentina for the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands.
Hector Timerman, Chancellor dela Argentina, which currently heads the group, held a meeting with their counterparts in New York Group. For his part, Foreign Office spokesman said the “good and productive” relationship between the two countries involved and dismissed the warning dela Jefade State, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner on the possible cancellation of bilateral agreements between Argentina and Great Britain as they are flights to the Falklands.

He added: “I think the flight today carried many Argentine tourists and people related to people who were involved in the conflict in the islands, something worth remembering, like the fact that the islanders want to coexist peacefully with its neighbors South American. ”
