Matthias Morla, the lawyer of carpenter Nestor Altamirano, who was arrested for the crime of Candela Rodriguez, warned that if it is found that the reserved identity witness lied, the cause may return to “square one”.

Morla said the witness, in order to collect the reward, “lied blatantly” and “the researchers lose valuable time.”

The lawyer pointed out to Candela’s family in this regard, saying that until all the relatives of the girl are not questioned deeply, “We can not know who is responsible for the crime.”

For now, his claim of perjury against the witness’ reserved identity was accepted the judge Jorge Rodriguez.

Morla also presented evidence about the activity of the carpenter when Candela was kidnapped, as well as the whereabouts of his wife, Nelida Pistan, who according to the lawyer travelled to Tucumán in those days.
