Davis Cup: Monaco and Chela lost against Troicki and Zimonjic in doubles

Today, the couple formed by Troicki and Zimonjic for Serbia defeated the Argentines Chela and Monaco for 7-6, 6-4, 6-2. In this way, they managed to stretch the series. The national pair had too many inaccuracies and did not exploit the opportunities. The match of Del Potro with Djokovic will be crucial for the series. 

The Serbian duo came with the pressure of winning. The nerves could be seen in the court. Moreover Chela and Monaco adapted their game to the one exposed by the Serbs, but did not reach them because of their inaccuracies. The first set was won by the Serbs 7-6, with a difference of 4 in the tie break.

Argentina was 4-1 up in the second set but dropped their level again and the Serbs rallied the result. In this way Argentina stagnated in 4 games won and foreigners achieved the victory 6-4.

In the third set, Argentina had to win to have any chance to go to fourth and fifth set, but none of that happened. It was easy for the Serbs, 6-2 to put the series 2-1 in favor of the Latin American team. Tomorrow, Del Potro will face Djokovic and Nalbandian will have to define the series against Tipsarevic.
