Candela case: The extortionist was arrested

The investigation into the crime of Candela Rodriguez showed significant results today, through raids where police found new basic tracks and several new detainees, among whom was the person that made the extortion call, when the girl was kidnapped on Monday, August 29.

The researchers said to the press that these new investigations involving a breakthrough in the case and that the extortionist would be seriously involved in the gang that kidnapped Candela.

Meanwhile, judicial sources said the carpenter Ramon Altamirano, accused of having fed her while she was captive, would be free today, after his statement. This was confirmed by his lawyer, Matthias Morla.

On the other hand, a man who claims to have found the body of the girl in the wilds of Villa Tesei was presented in the prosecution of Moron to collect a reward that was promised by the Government of Buenos Aires Province, to the person who provide data on whereabouts of the girl while she was captive, but the sources consulted said that this would be unlikely.
