Finally, the Broad Progressive Front will attend the summon of Schoklender
City of Buenos Aires, September 14, 2011
Although Margarita Stolbizer had announced a contrary decision, finally it was confirmed that all Members of the Broad Progressive Front will go to Congress for the deposition of Sergio Schoklender, a former agent of the Foundation of Mothers of Plaza de Mayo.
The legislator of GEN had said two days ago: “I do not think the Congress of the Nation must validate a summon to a personlike Schoklender. If he has something to say, he must do so in the context of Justice.”
It had also added: “We have already expressed our opposition to what is intended to do,” and sentenced “if Congress acts in the place of Justice, it is as bad as when we denounce the Executive invading our legislative powers. The institutional system works best if everyone does the right thing to do. ”
On this day, the Socialist deputy Juan Carlos Zabalza said: “We do not trust Schoklender, we believe he is part of a gear of corruption.” However, without giving reasons, he confirmed: “Schoklender is called and we are simply going to attend.”
