The Central clarified that banks can not limit purchases of dollars

BCRA sources clarified that there is no current legislation that limits the dollars sale to bank customers themselves. The statements contradict the widespread journalistic versions this morning.
The Central Bank of Argentina, confirmed that there is no legislation in place requiring financial institutions to restrict thesale of foreign exchange to private and limited to their own customers.
As the price of the dollar remains stable at $ 4, 24, same value aslast week, for sale to the public.
On the other hand, the Buenos Aires stock opened lower, influenced by negative global context to renewed fears about the crisis in the euro zone. The leading index Merval fell 2.49 percent.
