Candela was indeed abused during her captivity
Buenos Aires, September 12, 2011
The final autopsy on Candela Rodriguez’ body reveals that the girl was indeed raped before her murder, which means that the abuse took place during the days she was held captive.
These tests involve a new twist in the case and contradict what was reported first. The experts said after a first analysis of the girl remains that she hadn’t been raped during her kidnapping but actually was not virgin, so that all eyes pointed to her family. Experts said Candela had been sexually abused from the age of ten.
Now this new data reconfigures the main hypothesis of the crime and opens more doubts in this case that has shocked the country.
Meanwhile, it would be imminent the release of some defendants because the undercover witness’s testimony would be false.
Candela, 11, was kidnapped during a week and then killed. Her body was found in a bag in Villa Tesei, Buenos Aires province.
