De Mendiguren: “The UIA thinks about a possible radicalization of the kirchnerism”
Argentina, September 4, 2011
Jose de Mendiguren, president of the Industrial Unión of Argentina (UIA), said that “the business sector is thinking on a possible radicalization of the kirchnerism” after the results of the Primaries and even without knowing the possible outcomes of October.
“One of the questions that today remain most businessmen in silence, is what will happen after the elections, if it brings a radicalization of the model, if populism is sustainable, or if we go to a rational project with investment” said De Mendiguren.
When asked about his considerations, he said that “I do not believe that radicalism may come, but the concern of the businessmen is present”.
In the interview given to La Nación, the president of the UIA said “these internal discussions should be talked”.
“I would like to convey to the President all the power that has won after the elections, which will surely be repeated, given the possibility of calling for this step to development”, adding that what worries him is that ” Instead of supporting what went right and change what needs to be changed, the imposition of a model of friend or foe”.
