Cristina, “Argentines have to associate”

President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner announced this afternoon the Tourism Strategic Plan 2020, and called Argentines to join together in order to generate added value to the country.

“Argentines have to associate, the 40 million has to generate value to this great product that is Argentina,” the president said.

“The more sophisticated tourism requires more labor,” she said. “Tourists want personalized attention and this requires training. Before, it was enough to know languages. Today we need other activities, such as having general knowledge, knowledge of biology and to be tour guides,” Cristina said.

She further stated that “Argentines have traveled abroad again” and that the regional tourism has grown. In addition, she stressed that the world will require more nature tourism, as we have in Argentina.

Finally, the president announced in the coming days, the Minister of Tourism, Enrique Meyer will sign an agreement in Spain to promote the flagship airline Aerolineas Argentinas.
