Aliens might destroy the Earth to protect other civilizations

A group of scientists working for NASA stated that “Climate change and the changes in Earth’s atmosphere could be interpreted by aliens as a sign that humanity is growing and that they may have decided to destroy us before we become a serious threat. It is not the main argument for reducing greenhouse gases, but it could be one to save mankind from an alien attack”.
Shawn Domagal-Goldman, from the Division of Planetary Sciences at NASA and his colleagues made a list of possible outcomes that could be developed in the aftermath of a close encounter, to help humanity to prepare for a real contact.
In addition, they explained how could be the extraterrestrial contacts. They divide them into three categories: profit, neutral or harmful.
Beneficial meetings: they range from the mere detection of extraterrestrial intelligence (ETI), for example through the interception of alien transmissions, in contact with aid agencies to help us advance in knowledge and solve global problems like hunger, poverty and disease.
Another is the one that comes after having contact, the aliens may cause harm to humanity, even by accident. In this hypothetical case, they could eat, enslave and submit us.
Humanity could disappear if a more advanced civilization unleashes a hostile conduct towards the human race.
The report’s authors, disengage this article from NASA, and warned that “aliens may control civilizations that spread very quickly, because the rapid expansion can destroy the lives of others, in the same way that humans are causing the extinction of many species on Earth”.
“The aliens may have decided the destruction of humanity to protect other civilizations, as we saw in the classic “The Day the Earth”.
“And if we never make contact with aliens, we must take into account the possible scenarios that can help the future course of human civilization, avoiding a collapse and achieve a long-term survival”.
