Cristina: “We are assisting to a historical episode”

President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner voted this morning Rio Gallegos and highlighted the electoral day as “historic”.

“We are assisting to a historical episode because it is the first time since 1983, after some many claims of the political reform for citizens’ participation, we are doing it”, the president said after emitted her vote.

All argentines can participate choosing who the candidates of the different political parties will be, those who will represent them in institutional charges. Also there are four provinces that are doing the same”, she added.

She highlighted also that this is a qualitative jump in institutional excellence and added that all candidates could show their proposals in all media and argentine could learn about them.

Regarding her son, Maximo she said he will stay in Rio Gallegos a few days after her wife lost pregnancy.
