“That never happened” Cabinet Chief says about Ocaña statements

Buenos Aires City, August 5, 2011

Cabinet Chief Anibal Fernandez talked about former Health Minster Graciela Ocaña’s statements in regard the supposed protection from President Cristina Fernandez to former head of Bank Union, Juan Jose Zanola.

“That never happened,” Fernandez said to the media and M24Digital. “But you don’t have to believe me because you will notice it if look the files as there are a lot of Ocaña’s statements saying that nobody told her what she has to do”, the minister said.

“What a coincidence that she appears with this theoretical orders when it is almost for elections”, he added.

“I remembered that she wanted to be congresswoman candidate in 2009 and she couldn’t. I think that to pass a bill like this is too much. It’s dishonest”, Fernandez said.

Cabinet chief assured that when Ocaña wanted to make any complaint he told her, “Don’t give up”. “I gave her all my support”, Fernandez said.
