Man wears a pasta strainer in his driver license picture

Niko Alm is an Austrian young man who belongs to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and he spent three years trying to get his driver license with a picture in which he is wearing his religious hat: a pasta strainer.

Niko finally get it thanked to his persistence and because Austrian Transport authorities accept religious headgear.

He explained that the picture was sent three years ago but it was rejected because it was considered inappropriate for a driver license. He requested the rejection in a letter that never was sent.

Surprisingly, three years later he received the driver license with the picture of the pasta strainer. Now, Niko is trying that authorities recognize his religion, created in Kansas in 2005.
