St. Basil’s Cathedral turns 150 and it honor a mass and a bell concert in its honor at Red Square.
Also, the Russian will celebrate the end of the restoration works that took ten years.
The cathedral, whose real name is of the Virgin Intercession on the Mound, was built between 1555 and 1561 by orders of Czar Ivan, The Terrible.
In 1558, a new chapter was constructed over the St. Basil’s grave, and people started to call it by his name.
Today Google joins to the celebration with a cathedral image in its logo.
