Mauricio Macri held the celebrations for the Independence day
Argentina, July 9, 2011
The Head of Government of Buenos Aires, Mauricio Macri, led the celebrations for the Independence Day in the Plaza de Mayo, with the hoisting of our national flag and singing the verses of the Argentine national anthem.
Once the event finished he did no comments about the elections because of the political ban, but instead Horacio Rodríguez Larreta spoke with M24 Digital and other media present.
Larreta clarified he does not have much to say, as he also has to respect the political ban that began yesterday at 8:00 pm.
But he added that “his party respected the ban, and he thinks that other political parties also did, with the exception of the National Government that showed a work done by the City Government”.
Then he talked about tomorrow’s elections, explaining how citizens should act before the changes that were made with respect to other years.
