Facundo Cabral was murdered in Guatemala

M24Digital searched sources to give some information about the conditions in which the Argentine musician Facundo Cabral was killed in Guatemala, when he was heading towards the airport La Aurora.

According to local sources “Facundo Cabral died in a confusing incident in the so called “Freedom Boulevard”, in the capital of Guatemala. He was shot by strangers when heading towards the airport, after giving shows in the American country”.

The same sources said to M24 Digital that “the murder happened around 5:20 am, local time”.

And that “during the attack to the musician, there was also injured his manager, who is now fighting for his life in a hospital”.

Ronaldo Robles, a government’s spokesman “condemned” the incident and added “security forces had already initiated the search to clarify what happened today”.

He also explained that “it was a direct attempt against him held by hitmen that used assault rifles”.

A spokesman of the National and Civil Police informed to the journalists that “the artist of 74 years old, who offered a concert last week in Guatemala, died due to various shots”.
