The president and her cabinet analyze Patagonia crisis

President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner held a meet with her cabinet at presidential residence of Olivos in order to analyze the difficult time of the Patagonia after the enormous ash fall of Pueyehue Volcano.
Economy minister and vice-president candidate Amado Boudou were present with Agricultural minster Julian Dominguez, Industry minister Debora Giorgi, Social development minister Alicia Kirchner and Tourism minister Alberto Meyer.
The officials will try to set some axes to reduce the strong negative impact that ash falls had imposed, specially the agricultural and livestock sector as well as the tourism industry.
Some of the aids to the communities affected are subsidies and tax benefits. In these line, some agricultural and tourism businessman will not pay taxes.
The ash fall affected deeply the industry of sheep wool after the death of thousand animals. However, the Government will still impulse an incentive plan for this sector, with a no interests financing.
San Carlos de Bariloche Airport remains closed due to the great ash accumulation which means a lot economic losses. For this reason the ministers will met the governors of the affected provinces.
