Martín Redrado criticized the Central Bank’s role in Cristina Kirchner’s model

Argentina, July 3, 2011

Martin Redrado, former Central Bank president and candidate for deputy from the front led by Eduardo Duhalde, criticized the performance of the BCRA in the model of Cristina Kirchner. “Inflation has doubled because the BCRA became a machine that prints money as requested by the power”.

“The Central Bank is used as a mechanism for funding and so, being a machine of printing money, inflation has doubled”.

On the other hand he said that currently this model is sustained by the international soybean prices, which remain favorable for export. “Soy is what gives us breathing room for now” he said.

“Soybean exports continue to provide us dollars to counteract the claim that the Argentine greenback has” he declared to Radio 10.

“Undoubtedly this is being maintained by soy, the prices of primary products, but at some point in the next two years, it is not going to support all the economy” concluded the candidate for deputy from the Popular Front.
