Secondary schools will hold a strike since monday claiming for building improvements

City of Buenos Aires, June 30, 2011

The Unified Coordinator of high school students said today that there is planned a strike in schools to claim for better conditions inside them.

Ramiro Yordan, one of the leaders of the CUES (for its acronym in Spanish), assured that from Monday the strike will start in the schools Maria Claudia Falcone, along with Normal 6, Normal 1, Mariano Acosta and Juan Pedro Esnaola.

He also added that the protest will end with a protest in front of the Ministry of Education of the City.

Esteban Bullrich, head of the Education Ministry, said that the demonstrators are 150 that tried to enter the Ministry hitting the doors.

He also stated “this happenes a Hjek alter the elections, if they disagree with our politics, they have to express it in the polls” and added “there are left and Labor Party movements involved”.

The CUES unites more than thirty schools, which last year did the strike that almost paralyzed the public education.
