Justin: The robot that will replace man in the moon mission

June 30, 2011

The European Space Agency (ESA) said they will replace astronauts with a humanoid robot by the name of Justin on the next mission to the moon, and if all goes well they send him to explore planets.

The design was developed in Germany and built in Italy, and his presentation was held at the International Fair of Robotics of 2007.

According to spokesmen for ESA, “the robot mimics the movements of an astronaut, and was built with a humanoid torso and head, his DLR-III arms can lift twice his weight load, combined with the hand that can reproduce human feelings, allowing you to handle objects remotely with great precision”.
