Google will be investigated for monopoly
United States, June 23, 2011
As reported by the Wall Street Journal, Google will be investigated by the United States to determine if it breaks the antitrust law in that country.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) holds “the most serious antitrust complaint so far” against the search engine, used by two thirds of Internet users in that country.
Until today, Google only had been examined by some of its acquisitions (like YouTube), but this time the charge is more serious because there is evidence that controls more than half of U.S. traffic.
