Alfonsin and De Narvaéz want to give the Government a “electoral defeat”

Argentina, June 18, 2011

Ricardo Alfonsin and Francisco de Narváez bet, these Saturday in La Matanza, for the unity between radicals and Peronists. They expect in the October elections to give an “electoral defeat” to the government.

Both candidates shared the stage for the first time since they agreed to join the Union for Social Development and questioned the government’s management strategy.

Alfonsin called the “Radicals and Peronists to work together to solve the problems of the Argentines”.

“We think it best that can happen to the country the unit of Peronism and Radicalism. Politics should be done with the heart. Poverty hurts us” he concluded.

Moreover, De Narvaez questioned the government, arguing that “lies and steals when they say that prices do not increase and that insecurity is a feeling”.

The root words of the Peronist deputy also were applauded on stage by former Health Minister Graciela Ocaña, a possible member of an electoral formula, the legislator Jose “Pepe” Scioli, Monica Lopez and his vice-president Javier Gonzalez Fraga.
