During her speech, the President referred to the statements of James Cameron, the Prime Minister of Great Britain, not to negotiate over Malvinas/Falklands, as the UN commands.

“Just a few hours ago the prime minister of the United Kingdom’s said what the Foreign Ministry has defined as an act of arrogance. I define it as a sign of mediocrity and almost stupidity.”

“Argentines never believed in ending history, not in human rights, nor as to our sovereign rights over the Malvinas Islands. [This] shows not only mediocrity, but the arrogance of believing that you can put an end to the story,” she said

“We will continue to demand, to do whatever it takes to sit down to talk as mandated by UN resolution. “

“In the twenty-first century, they are still a crude colonial power. In decline, because colonialism is quite old, as well as unfair, and we’re going to say that until the cows fly. We are going to recover them [the Falkland Islands] in the framework of international law and peace, which no doubt fits them,” she concluded.
